Easy Cheesy Hashbrowns

This is an easy side dish that goes great with burgers, chicken, or steak. The crispy corn flake topping gives the cheesy potatoes the perfect crunch. My friends and family all love this dish….it’s a regular request!

Here’s what you need:

-2 lbs (32 ounces) hash browns (shredded, not country-style)
-1/2 cup butter (melted)
-1/2 cup chopped white onion
-1 can cream of chicken soup
-1 12 ounce container of sour cream
-2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
-2 cups corn flakes
-1 tsp. salt
-Dash of pepper (you can also use crushed red peppers for a little kick!)

Here’s how you make it:

1. Mix all of the above ingredients together (excluding corn flakes and 1/4 cup butter) in a large bowl
2. Layer in a 9 x 13 inch greased pan and top with 2 cups of corn flakes
3. Drizzle with the remaining 1/4 cup butter
4. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour
5. Enjoy!
