To say that I am a chocolate lover is a bit of an understatement. I have developed the WORST habit of craving chocolate after dinner. Sometimes I’m even desperate enough to grab a handful of semi-sweet chocolate chips if I happen to have some leftover from my latest baking project.
This year I am fortunate enough to be able to go home for Christmas for the second year in a row after starting my real, “big-person” job. This may not seem like a big feat to some but between my limited vacation days and the location of my hometown, it has proven to be a difficult task. You see, my hometown is located in the very northeastern corner of the state of Montana – 15 miles from the Canadian border and 25 miles from the North Dakota border.
Now that Keenan and I have been introduced to the world of only having “x” amount of vacation days, we try our best to take advantage of the long holiday weekends. This year for Memorial Day weekend we planned a three-day adventure throughout southern Oregon and northern California totaling to 1,000 miles, beginning in Beaverton, OR.
