The 80 mile canyon is filled with beautiful views and dozens of trails leading to beautiful, hidden waterfalls. The most well-known waterfall is the 600 foot Multnomah Falls but we chose an easy, less-traveled hike to Wahclella Falls.
The fourth of July really seemed to sneak up on me this year. I’m not sure if it was the three week’s worth of clouds and rain prior to the holiday that was to blame but June came and went and I found myself without much of a plan. And for anyone that knows me, you know that I LOVE to make plans. Thankfully, my friends and I made last minute plans to escape for the day to a place that is home to a handful of breweries and wineries.
I’m going to take a little break from writing recipes to tell you about a fabulous, local festival that I went to last weekend at the Oregon Convention Center. A group of us went to the 16th annual Oregon Spring Beer and Wine Festival to celebrate my friend’s brother in law’s big 3-0. What better way to celebrate your birthday than sampling local beer and wines all afternoon!
