Fruit Dip Trifecta

 

After spending some time organizing my recipes online, I realized that I was seriously lacking in the desserts section…which is frankly shocking considering the size of my sweet tooth. Some of you might be thinking fruit? That’s not dessert?? But pair it with some creamy fruit dip and you might just change your mind. I brought this dish to a barbeque last weekend and came home with a nearly empty tray.

Here’s what you need:

– (1) 8 oz. cream cheese (I use 1/3 less fat)
– (1) lemon
– Sour cream
– Marshmallow cream (large jar)
– Sugar
– Crushed almonds
– Vanilla extract
– (3) small mixing bowls

Here’s how you make it:

(1) Split softened cream cheese into three equal parts
(2) Put one part into each mixing bowl (you should have three separate bowls)
(2) Add 1/2 cup marshmallow creme to each bowl
(3) Add 1/8 cup sour cream to each bowl
(4) Mix until well blended

Bowl #1 (Plain Fruit Dip)
(1) Add 1 tsp sugar
(2) Mix until well blended
(3) Transfer to a small serving dish

Bowl #2 (Lemon Fruit Dip)
(1) Squeeze the juice of a half lemon into bowl #2
(2) Add 1 tsp sugar
(3) Mix until well blended
(4) Transfer to a small serving dish
(5) Garnish with a lemon wedge (if desired)

Bowl #3 (Vanilla Almond Dip)
(1) Add 1/8 cup crushed almonds
(2) Add 1 tsp vanilla extract
(3) Mix until well blended
(4) Transfer to a small serving dish

Serve with an assortment of fruit and enjoy!
